Nicely done.Cheers, Mike.

Nicely done. Feels a bit weird that it is unusual to throw away the stage ! ;-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Nicely done.  Watched from backyard.  Seemed to follow the flight path of the shuttles, i.e., south easterly.  May not be a recoverable mission but SpaceX  is demonstrating its ability to successfully launch in quick succession.

I envy you. Must be a great thing to see. It certainly nicked off quickly.

Cheers, Mike.

Oooops. My mistake. It said 'loved ones', plus I think they implied they must be dead first. Darn. I had other ideas ..... :-)

Cheers, Mike.

CRS-11 which is Dragon

CRS-11 which is Dragon resupply to ISS is scheduled for June 1  21:55 UTC.

Just noticed over at r/SpaceX - if that happens on time - and weather permitting, we in Northern Europe be able to look at ISS pass virtually directly overhead followed about 20-40 minutes later by Dragon and its space flotsam.

I think it will pass straight through the Plough (aka Big Dipper aka Ursa Major) from where i am - rare to catch the ISS directly overhead here...

See Heavens Above website for ISS passes and skycharts.

That should be good. Reminds

That should be good. Reminds me of the Gemini days, pretty much 50 years ago. There was a joint mission with 6 and 7, 6 was launched after 7 because of the failure of another craft. Anyway 7 was transiting over the Cape as 6 was being launched and the crew of 7 got to witness the exhaust plume from that. 6 caught up from below in a few orbits and they did lots of rendezvouses etc after that. Timing is everything.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Via Twitter : side booster testing for Falcon Heavy last week, that booster already used for Thaicom 8.

( edit ) The upcoming Falcon Heavy test launch per Elon : "One way or another, launch is guaranteed to be exciting ..."
