Not only is this "rocket" going to be a resupply mission to the ISS but the first stage is going to make a "return to earth" landing on a floating platform in the Atlantic.

Can't wait!!!

[Edit] This is a video of a prototype - amazing.

SpaceX And/Or Rocketry In General

Awesome. Some nice maneuvering finesse there. Get off the grass !!! :-)

That's the thing about unmanned and semi/autonomous stuff : there's no human inside to worry about. An immense simplification by not having to cater for the squishy delicate blobs.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

The 16th was the original date. The article I saw yesterday said the launch was delayed until the 19th

When I watch that video it looks like the rocket begins to lean off of vertical a couple of times but they are able to bring it back. I know nothing about rockets but I am wondering if the engine can gimbal 360 to keep the butt under the nose should it move off of vertical.

I hope those were not dairy cows in the nearby field because when the lit that thing off they would probably have tightened up for days.

If you liked the SpaceX video then you will probably enjoy this one - complete with mood music. One is only limited by ca$h.
Octocopter

Some really great footage. So sit back, relax and soar with eagles.
