On My dads side we can go

On My dads side we can go back to my paternal Great Great Great Grandfather (think I have enough greats there, maybe not ...) that we know was a lay preacher in County Mayo Ireland in 1820. What we don't know is whether he went there from England or was born there. On mums side they all came from North London back to about 1875.

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Thought For The Day :

It is lucky that the inventor of the drawing board got it right the first time.

Cheers, Mike.

This version of TLPTP is not

This version of TLPTP is not intended to last as long as 7 weeks like the previous one did, the number I am looking for is less than the 200th post - clue 2. Clue 1 is in the title :-))

Cool

Phil! It's you! :)I'd do

Phil! It's you! :)

I'd do that for all of you but as I'm feeling a little on the lazy side, I won't.

I'm not sure how familiar anyone outside the UK is with our national lottery... It used to have a motto that read "it could be you" ... then stuff like "maybe maybe" and now I think "serving the nation's dreams". If you're wondering why I'm here telling you this, it's because they've moved the little kiosk in our local shop to being beside the door in what is clearly a culmination of nearly 23 years of Camelot striving to bash me in the head everytime I pop in for milk and stuff.

edit: I meant to thank you for your very interesting post about the duck-billed platypus, Mike. I didn't though.

:)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

the duck-billed

the duck-billed platypus,

Whenever our cat comes in with muddy feet and jumps up on the white tablecloth we have a pus-platy-with a cleaning bill-and he'd better duck!!!

I assumed your good will. :-)

Now we just call it the platypus. Calling it 'duck-billed' makes it sound like there are other options eg. gas-billed platypus, electricity-billed platypus ? Maybe Wild-Bill-Hicoked platypus or local-council-rated platypus.

Duck's-Backside Platypus ... I could go on ....

Cheers, Mike.
