I thought these things were for schools and developing countries? If they can't crunch Boinc projects, well I would say a raspberry is an appropriate name!!
Years ago we heard of some gas station employee being creative and putting down that he was a "Petroleum Distribution Engineer" on his resume, I have always thought that was funny.
Ok so he was really a petrol pump attendant then :-)) (Annie type 3 snort!)
Actually some Shell petrol stations in the UK (yes they sell LPG as well!!) have attendants that will fill your car with petrol and check the oil as well. I believe they are called "Customer Experience Managers" or some such! I.e. give 'em a fancy job title and they won't moan too much about the low wages!
The State of New Jersey here in the US REQUIRES a petrol pump attendant to pump your gas for you, there is NO self service allowed, near the Interstates anyway. And yes a "gas station employee" is the same as a "petrol pump attendant", except normally they just sit on their butts and watch you try and figure things out.

Why not head on over to Cruncher's corner and read up on how to run Einstein on your new Pi3!
You could start with Parallella, Raspberry Pi, FPGA & All That Stuff although it's quite long.
Might be better to check out High-Speed Linux-BRP-App for Raspberry Pi 3 to get it optimized, I finish 3 BRP4 tasks every 6h on my Pi3, probably could do a bit more but haven't had the time to play with it for a while.

In the Uk we have not had that since the 60/70's. But this year Shell forecourts started this new "Customer Experience" lark and if you watch, 9/10 people say no thanks, happy to do it myself. Just a crap PR initiative that isn't working. But it worries me about America. If a USA State feels it needs to mollycoddle its motorists in that way, then I will avoid the place like the plague. If a motorist is not capable of safely filling up with petrol, then quite frankly they should not be on the road in charge of a car. Or is this just a local political thing where they want to make sure that the local oiks can have a job?
These Pi3 doorstop thingies - Oh yes Linux, wondered when that would turn up :-)) Sorry guys I have family, friends, Clubs, and a real life to live. Can't be doing with Yuppy techno gadgets! You can even buy internet connected wristwatches now .......
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

There is more to know about your nation's invention than the opening sentence of a wiki entry, my dear Sir ;-) Having bought three as gifts for family members - I am regretting not buying another 2. One for myself, and one for a two year old.
Why not head on over to Cruncher's corner and read up on how to run Einstein on your new Pi3!
I have done so, Sir, thank you. :-) Whether to make mention of it to one thrilled recipient, my wife, at this juncture I fear would make work for our moderators. Were she to browse this forum, her overriding impression of wish fulfilment provided by certain types of BMW, might find its way into this thread. :-) A sense of humour amongst our readership would be required, followed by a trip to a used car dealership perhaps? ;-)
Wishing everyone here a happy and prosperous 2017.
By gad, as I live and breathe it is Sir Rodney Esq of the Ilk gracing us with his presence :-)

One might add that a certain BMW model, whilst admirably suited to your climate, and your good Lady wife's aspirations, could likely tour the circumference of your British Overseas Territorial island in about 10 minutes. Well normally it could do, but the last time I was there a few years ago staying at Navy digs at Europa Point, there was a landslide in the tunnel on the south side, and it was blocked off.
But one does not encourage ones female partners to indulge their desires unless one has the bank balance to support it and a good relationship with the Branch Manager :-))
But I forget my manners. Yes of course a very happy, peaceful, and prosperous new year to all our readers, and our Editor Mike and assistants.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

I'm excited. I got a Pi3 for christmas. Now what to do with it....
As suggested by other members: Crunch
Some have suggested that they are not a candidate for distributed computing projects but with N30DG's modifications/app they do some amazing work. I have 7 Single Board Computers crunching for E@H. The mix is 5 Pis (4 Pi 3s and one Pi2) and 2 Odroids and they are all working for E@H and churning through WUs. Review this thread to get started.
[EDIT] N30DG's app is applicable to Pi3's and Odroids. My Odroids have a daily RAC between 1100~1600, and the Pi's 750. The one Pi showing 311 is a Pi2 - every little bit helps.
You might want to point a small desktop USB fan at it to provide additional cooling.
I got pie eyed for Christmas,

Pi3 projects
Late edit - It seems that they can but not worth it.

Turn it into an IP camera.

Funny. A few hours ago the UK was 5 hours ahead of the US. Now they are a day ahead. Time is magic.
