As you can tell he retrieves well for a Golden Retriever, and he knows what cameras are all about too .... he sleeps often near my side of the bed and I reach down and pat his head and gently scruff his ears. He snores a bit, but then so do I .... :-)
Cheers, Mike.

Hope everything goes well at the Dr's, David :) With regards the rain, I'd normally suggest taking an umbrella so you don't get wet.
About like I expected. The fingernail is growing back like it was before, but now that I know it's not a huge disease, it's not worth doing all that again. The leg is slightly better; keep up the treatment; you could see a vein dr., but it's probably not worth it right now. Take a look at my toe calluses; here's another prescription for them (which the pharmacy says doesn't come in that strength). The rain was late, starting as I left, not as I arrived.

He has a load of work in front of him getting unpacked.
I still have two boxes under my stairs that I haven't unpacked since we moved. In the fifteen years since, I only needed to get one thing out of them. I'm glad I didn't unpack them in the end because it was an important thing and I may never have found it otherwise :)
Hello everyone!
After the dr., I went across the street to the storage unit I haven't visited since I put my father's crap in it 5 years ago. I took a small amount of crap with me to deal with; some of the dealing will involve putting it in the recycling bin.
Aunt just called to say she canceled her dr. tomorrow. I wish she'd just go, but I can't force her.
If I don't pop in tomorrow, let me say now that this will be an "interesting" weekend at the museum. The Army Reserve Transportation Corps will be out again, replacing the east half of Station Track 2 (they learn how to rebuild track, we get free labor (and probably lunch)). I will be dispatching myself on Saturday and someone else Sunday out of the west half, backing 1630 down to West Switch and going east on the main. 1630 does not do Track 1. The big question is how 1630 will get in front of the train. One way or another, a diesel will be required. Either Friday night it pulls the train out and puts it on the west lead or west wye so 1630 can couple on in the morning, or Saturday morning it pulls the train out, then puts it back into 2 on top of 1630. Saturday night, I'll probably leave the train on the wye so they can get it again in the morning.

Sounds like a plan!!!
Good morning everyone!!!
Kathryn and AnnieT I just wanted you guys to know that I am now winning!!!
Good morning all. The cats have had their breakfast, unlike their owner. I'm working on my second cuppa coffee. That's rare for me. Usually I only have one.
When I get a chance, I'll post some pics of my furbabies. Mike, that's one beautiful dog. Thankfully next week, my ball of fluff with the matting hair gets herself shaved. She'll then spend the next few weeks huddling under blankets. She is definitely not a happy camper when shaved at first. The first night is the worst since the sedative is still wearing off. But she won't let us brush her so she has to be shaved twice a year.

I saw an UGLY dog one time and HAD to stop and ask the lady walking it just what kind it was, it was a St Bernard that she had shaved because it was getting too hot in the 100+F heat. They DO look funny with no hair, long legs and very skinny!!!
