Good Morning Everyone! The time is 6:13 in the AM.
Previous hints:
Hint #1: The rate of increase in density is decreasing.
Hint #2: Come on in fellas, the water is smooth...oh wait, that's cause it's oily.
Hint #3: Is it just me or is it getting warm in here?
Hint #4: Pop goes the weasel.

Just stopping in to say I am WINNING!!!
Speaking of stopping in.
Hint #5: Since the answer is of terrestrial origin, your quest will lead you to the city of winds. Search for a little known establishment known as Cafe Einstein, the knowledge you seek lies within.

Chicago, Chicago...that part was easy! This tablet and connection will not let me do multiple pages so I can't go backwards to get the home though!

Ah, progress at last. We have traveled from everyday mundane things like cooking, out to the greater universe, and back to the Windy City on the shores of Lake Michigan. Mikey gets 3 Scooby Snacks for narrowing the search area.

Hint #6: While the object of the quest may be many, in the end there can be only one.
The fuse burns short on this thread. Which will it be? The power of the human mind, or man kinds old nemesis time? Tick tock...
I had an idea that you were baking a cake, but you said you're not cooking anything.
Something to do with the Deep Tunnel project?
Mike: I had a medical question, and now I forgot what it was. Any help for that, or for the shocking increase in the size of my bald spot between my last haircut three months ago and the one I got two days ago?

I know now. This is some surrealist dream where Phil is actually describing the inside of my own head. Yes. That makes perfect sense. It is dark in here, there is oil and water to some degree, the density varies and it is getting warmer now that I come to think about it. The weasel will surely pop - I knew there was a squealing sound around somewhere in here. The object of the quest is to make me go mad. Now remember Mike, just because you are paranoid doesn't mean that they are not after you .... ;-)
[ Also rule #1a : don't dis the OP. BTW Phil check your PM's. ]

Ah the old correlation b/w hair and memory loss, yours with a negative coefficient. First described in ancient Greece by Foliculloxus of Paradoxus ... :-)
Cheers, Mike.
