Annie knows quite well what

Annie knows quite well what LPTP means, being a (relatively) old hand at it at Seti. Nice to see you here, Annie. There are fewer active posters in the thread here, and far fewer active threads, but it's cozy. I expect you were driven here by sheer boredom from the unusually long outage at Seti.

Mike: that's nothing in the realm of cerebral confusion. Yesterday, I publicly thanked Bernd for finally adding the code so we'd have pages in threads... at the Boinc forum.

Phil: butter.

Au contraire ! I'm hoping Annie was here for the sheer excitement and educational potential of the Einstein forums !

So that's not undead zombie stuff or anything like that is it ? :-)

There could be some... overlapping :)

Phil is gaining weight.

I do hope he doesn't explode like a custard muffin or maybe a jam donut .... hey that's it : Phil is heating up a jam donut in the microwave !! :-)

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) I can't believe that Chrome's spell checker doesn't like 'donut'. Sheesh ....

*surreptitiously open bing translator* ah... doughnut... :) Really? That's preposterous :) Chrome's American isn't it? Complane! Lowdly! I wood if I whirr yu. Folt mite get wreckteefeyed, yu nevver no. I cood draufft sumthing four yu two saind if yu like? :)

( edit ) What ? I sign off "Cheers, Phil" ? Whoa, I'm clearly rattled !

I thought it was an arid aside, you know, thanking him for his nefariousness :)

My left cerebellum is arguing with my right thalamus, the left hippocampus ( Yes. Seriously. We all have one of those ) is disagreeing with my right corpus callosum. The apparent issue is whether the puzzle at hand is a 'left brain' or a 'right brain' task, but that is in doubt too. The supposedly brainiest bit - wherever that is - is telling the rest to shut up. It's getting a tad rowdy and I haven't begun to get a clue as to why the gall bladder is even up here in my skull at all ....

.... I really, really & honestly reckon I ought not stare too long into the BugZapper when trying to solve problems. But the light, the light, the lovely blue light .... :-) :-)

It's at times like this I find having a nearby wall to chew on helpful. My ground floor is almost completely open plan now :)

Yes. I can vouch for that. He had a brain fart :) Hi David :)

You're both right! :) Any news on the fracking btw?

@Phil - erm...? :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Jeez, I leave you guys alone

Jeez, I leave you guys alone for a few hours and I wake up with mud flying at me from several directions. That's ok. It's ON now! This thread just got an injection of steroids.

Previous hints:

Hint #1: The rate of increase in density is decreasing.
Hint #2: Come on in fellas, the water is smooth...oh wait, that's cause it's oily.
Hint #3: Is it just me or is it getting warm in here?

I'm trying to fit Annie's sausage in here, but no luck.
Bill, I'm not gaining weight. Yer on my list for that one, buddy boy.
I'm not cooking either.
I can understand fracking oil...but nope.

So, current hint as follows: (Remember, slinging mud at the thread OP is bound to get him to really drive you nuts :-)

Hint #4: Pop goes the weasel.

I shall not be responsible for brain injuries suffered while pondering this thread.

Phil

Edit: On thread conclusion I will gleefully explain every hint.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

There. He said it. He's put a weasel in the microwave folks .... :-)

OK, I'm going right off the planet now ! I'll go for a hydrocarbon lake on the moon of one of the biggies - say Jupiter's Titan - which is getting warmer due to too much sunlight, or a passing comet glowed excessively at it or something, or Marvin The Martian shot it, and thus it will be a geyser ... credible ? :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

OP's #1 Rule: Thou shalt not attempt multiple guesses in one post. That's cheating. Ok, I just made that up but I AM the OP...

Besides, no dice Mike. (Listens to the sounds of timbers creaking under stress in Mike's Brain Housing Group.)

*mumbled through mouthfull of mortar* Wall anyone? :)

I'll stick to the earth for the moment (spilled some sugar in the kitchen) and say... the dung that was the BP Horizon pig's breakfast of a pig's breakfast...? (for which I humbly apologise although I was nowhere near the scene at the time)

Yeah, Deepwater Horizon ...

Yeah, Deepwater Horizon ... is that about to do anything imminently ? I Googled that earlier on and came across a suggestion that the wellhead should be nuked to seal it. Seriously. That's rather like using a flamethrower to burn off a wart. Ever so effective but just a tad oversold. It's not like there would be anything un-intended happening, and that wouldn't be any worse than a catastrophic oil spill either.

So pre-dead zombies then. Like in the making, what they did before they were famous brain eaters, a prequel of The Walking Dead thing. Do the show's producers routinely cast via the SETI boards ? :-)

Now I wished I had bought a house of gingerbread and stuff. Anyway my brain parts are fine. It's just that they are not talking to each other, UN style.

[aside]
So outside the bedroom window we have the Garkle Bird. We call it that because of the noise it makes at 6am each day : garkle, garkle, garkle. Nice and loud. But he only does this in spring - well I think it's a he. Sometimes he is the Helicopter Bird or the Jeffrey Bird, 'cos he does that too but much less often. So, as advertised, we go interstate and stay there. Then at 6am just outside the bedroom we hear the bloody Garkle Bird. This gives rise to several possibilities :

(A) - the home guy hopped in the back of the car, traveled with us effortlessly, hopped out & garkled for a few days in Robe, then came back with us.

(B) - same as A but just flew behind following us there and back.

(C) - there may be two ( or more ) similiar birds in the world.

(D) - same as C but I don't believe in coincidences ie. there is an Interstate Garkle Bird Conspiracy ( IGBC ).
[/aside]

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) It is so nice to have acronyms. A terrific way to paste over lunacy while keeping a straight face. Tried & true. I've been reading about ICBMs. That sounds ever so much better than Civilisation Ending Rockets ... err, CERs.

( edit ) Speaking of cognitive deficit : I wonder what old surgeons do when they come off the pace. Do they put the gallstones back in or what ?

( edit ) Multi-Million Degree Kelvin Actuators ( MMDKAs ) ....

Speaking of stopping in.

Hint #5: Since the answer is of terrestrial origin, your quest will lead you to the city of winds. Search for a little known establishment known as Cafe Einstein, the knowledge you seek lies within.
