since you are just missing 3 MB - try to reduce the colour depth of your display to 16 bit. maybe this will free up enough resources after a reboot.

The reported amount of memory is required free memory, not total memory. The display of your desktop etc also consumes some video memory.

could try turning off some of the "eye candy" . i dont run 7 so im not exactly sure how to do it.
seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.

Right click on the desktop, then chose Personalize, then Display at the bottom left, then Change display settings on the upper left.
