Is there any way to use my GPU, Asus 8800 GTS 320 MB, for Boinc? It's reporting: "Your NVIDIA GPU has insufficient memory (need 300 MB)". Still my graphics card has 320 MB?!

Asus 8800 GTS 320 MB (nVidia)

Hi and welcome to E@H!

The reported amount of memory is required free memory, not total memory. The display of your desktop etc also consumes some video memory.

since you are just missing 3 MB - try to reduce the colour depth of your display to 16 bit. maybe this will free up enough resources after a reboot.

Right click on the desktop, then chose Personalize, then Display at the bottom left, then Change display settings on the upper left.

I know others that HAVE gone the hacksaw route! Good luck with your new system!!
