Did you know that the x-ray

Did you know that the x-ray machines at airports can damage your priceless holiday pics?
Here's a foolproof method of ensuring their protection.

When you've completed the spool, place it back in it's cylindrical plastic container. Punch a small hole in the lid and run a piece of string, about 10cm long, through the small hole with about 1 cm inside the lid and the remaining 9cm outside. This is to ensure that any moisture that may be present inside the container is absorbed by the string and does not damage the spool. Next, to protect the pics from over exposure by the x-ray machine, be sure to wrap the cylinder in tin foil (aluminum foil) with the shiny side on the outside form maximum reflection. Don't forget that the string needs to breathe in the air, so don't wrap it up inside the foil.

For maximum protection, place several individually wrapped containers together, and wrap them around their centers with some electrical tape, or duct tape and place them deep inside your suitcase. If you are concerned about theft from your baggage, you would probably want to wrap the containers around your waist.

If you are in a particularly humid area (Florida maybe?), it may be that the de-humidifying strings require replacing every few hours to ensure the safety of the spools. To assist you in remembering that these need replacing, you could purchase a small analog travelling alarm clock and strap it to your package of containers. Don't forget to set and activate the alarm function.

A hair dryer is a good tool

A hair dryer is a good tool to heat water when your hot water tank goes out. Just plug it in, turn it on, and stick it in the water.

OK...so now what do I do with my hair?

...and remember, just because your body has orifices, it doesn't mean you should put things into them.
