OK Brits and Germans and

OK Brits and Germans and everyone else over there my question is there is a NFL game in London on sunday between the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders and the local tv news here (Seattle area) is over there showing maybe thousands of Brits wearing Seahawks jerseys and about 300 fans flew in from Germany as Seahawk fans and I imagine there are lots who are "Raiders fans"

I can see the NFL is conning them into buying all the stuff the sell.

BUT.......why?.......one silly game and usually 2 awful teams playing each other

Now I would be surprised if our Queen Annie would be there at Wembley but she probably have heard about this on her local news.

Hell I have lived 40 miles NW for 60 years and I still have never been a Seahawks fan and usually hope they lose.........except this time since I picked them to win by 4 or more since the *point spread* is -3

I must admit I would be surprised if anyone here other than me ever watches these NFL games including Mikey Laughing

OK after midnight......have a fine weekend peeps.

Never heard of Seattle

Never heard of Seattle Seahawks. I am more interested in how our cricketers are doing in Ceylon.

I watch all of some NFL games and parts of most of the other ones, I have my favorite teams and others I'd like to see lose but most I don't really care if they win or lose. I like the Seahawks because they were good a few years ago and it's interesting to see how far they've come down since then. I also like the Raiders because of their new Coach, but I'm more interested in the final score then how they got there.

I do not bet on the games though, they may have a place around here to do that but it's too risky for me. I would need to invest more time in watching all the Teams to be betting on the games and right now some of my computers are not happy campers!!

A while back I put 120gb SSD drives in most of my pc's, they were cheap and with all the 'free' programs I use demanding reboots seemingly 'all the time' it got me back crunching quicker. Now with Win10 and it's auto updates though I'm running out of space on those 120gb drives and having to replace them with 240gb drives. I had a machine the other day with less than 1gb free space and it was ALL Windows crap!! I cloned it over to a 240gb drive and it's a happy camper now.

today's am temp at 9:20 is a mere 76.  definitely a move in the "right" direction.  might bring two additional towers online after upgrading to ubu 18.

WOO HOO!!! It's cool right now in South Eastern North Carolina this morning too, but it should be back into the low 80's by 3 or 4 pm today!! Then in a couple of days the weatherman says another front comes thru, maybe the one bringing you the cool air now, and my temps drop back in the 60's overnight again.

After relocating from Michigan to NE Oklahoma, I woke up this morning to temps in the mid-50s. Just slightly better than I would have expected back in Michigan. Tonight's low is forecast to be 38F and tomorrow's high just 53F. If this is what I get now, why did I bother coming South? Oh yeah, much less snow... That's something anyway.

Could have some variation by

Could have some variation by putting Escher designs/pictures on other wall.

That is a very good idea, WK. I wonder if you can point it at the floor after you've finished doing the walls? I think I would definitely, if I had one. And I'm not even a high end home remodeller.

Ceilings could be made to seem quite interesting too. They'd at least give you something to stare at if you got a bit disoriented and needed to lie down... or got caught out before you realised you needed to lie down, so keeled over for a bit. Some surprise Sylvester and Tweety pie appearances might be good if so, if the neighbours have beaten you to it with Coyote and roadrunner.

.... and now some recently discovered extra entries in The Bard's manuscript ...

you left a bit off, so I have restored it.

O Mike Of Hale, stop inhabiting thine extra dimensions  ! Hammy's smouldering explaineth nothing of yonder's goodlie imprint of face-of-Hewson upon such wide a crater's floor.

Methinks...

...gazeth-ing upon it, that only camel upon lunar faceplant would exact such terrain as that.

*slowly blinketh at Mike of Hale* A trademark, or a stampeth of thine approval...? Whom can say, yet it has made for some... erm... comely effects elsewhere. Y-e-e-e-e-s... y-e-a-...

[* stagehand note]: lower backdrop of full moon

;)

*read Magic's question* ... oh um... I have no idea. I have a friend who really enjoys NFL coming to London, so she might know. I'll try find out which team she'd deck herself out for, but it would be worth keeping in mind that she also enjoys thinking that the earth is flat. It came as a surprise to me because she doesn't have any interest in any other sport whatsoever. She is a junky to marketing and sort of... in-your-face-bigger-than-life-hype-type stuff though... although pageantry might be a better word than all those I just strung together, so that might play a part in her attraction to it.

Maybe, with all that padding and stuff, it brings back fond memories of the Romans marching about all Gladiatorially conquering stuff? I will attempt to get to the bottom of it for you if I can, but you know... go erm... Hawks! ;)

Our weather went from ridiculously warm for an October night last night, to an incredibly incredibly wet day today, which I now have to pop out into briefly.

I will be back later so you know... this is still my sofa... even if it looks like it isn't.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I am just  winning with vary

I am just  winning with vary variable weather!! Last week it was in the low 70's for highs, then it went back up into the high 80's and low 90's again. Yesterday it was in the mid 80's and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 60's for highs when another front goes thru today.

When it's cooler I can do some much needed 'repair' work on my pc's as sitting in a room I cool to 82F isn't fun for hours at a time!! I bought some 120gb solid state hard drives for my pc's and put Win10 on them, well it seems Windows has now filled them all up and they are now very full of 'stuff'. I have taken everything I can off of them but only having 3gb free isn't enough to make them crunch very well so I have been buying some 240gb SSD drives and replacing the 120's. I still have 3 to go and then most will all be at 240gb or higher, a couple still have 'regular' disk hard drives but I will try and replace them before the Holidays. With 17 pc's running it's not easy to stay on top of everything when I have 'other' things to do too!!

I am winning!!!
