A barrel-aged imperial Porter

A barrel-aged imperial Porter for oneself, one thinks. Congrats to Europe on the Ryder Cup win. The boys did us proud.

I saw Budweiser advertising they are now aging at least one of their beers in staves that were used to age bourbon, my son made a bourbon beer for his weeding and it was delicious. But he just poured part of a bottle of dark bourbon in the thing while it aged. I don't remember anymore what he ages his beer in but he makes a batch once every month or so. He's not adding the bourbon in his current batches though, he's sipping that when he doesn't want a beer.

I always thought Tiger Woods was a poor choice, good one day and then everywhere but where he needs to be the next, ie no consistency. There are way too many younger better choices out there but maybe they gave it to him as a last hurrah.

The gentleman did not appear comfortable throughout. A pity.

Indeed, on both counts.

Ah well, a run indeed! This weekend DownUnda we have the pinnacle event of our motorsport year : the Bathurst 1000 km race. Basically alot of high performance* saloon-type cars go up and down a mountain recurrently, each of some 161 times returning to the same spot. So I'll be watching that avidly. I have a friend who is the co-driver for one of the top teams (Lowndes/Richards) and thus I will be barracking for him. May neither stray from the track .... :-))

Cheers, Mike.

This one is out in a 'sparse'

This one is out in a 'sparse' area of the set :

.... looks very astro-cosmic, like blowing into fragments. Or maybe very microscopic like an atomic nucleus splitting apart. Whereas this one :

... from the 'absolute' calculation Mandelbrot variant, has a weird resemblance to a decaying beached shipwreck.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) From the 'absolute imaginary' calculation Mandelbrot variant :
