Have you ever read throught a science journal? or something like that? The graphs ect they do (Scientists/analysists) are most often much worse. Often don't even have any of the things I said in that other post, just text under "this graph shows...".
@Stef, thanks for the graphs. The one that makes me wonder, is that the "floating point speed" increased from 40 something to over 60 TFLOPS in one month (that is roughly 50% increase in computing power). I don't know what to make of this ... is the "estimate" algorithm broken?

...the TFLOPS are calculated from the credits granted.
Now these credits are fixed on server side depending on the WU.
But nevertheless when the E@H team decides to double the granted credits per WU, the calculated TFLOPS will double also...

Total needed 406.0 days with 387.7 days remaining. Roughly one week has gone by and days remaining has increased by 10.4 days.

I think part of the problem is that people running multiple projects such as myself can afford to run one WU of Einstein for a day and then BOINC goes into overscheduled mode and crunches other projects non-stop for a bit to meet their shorter deadlines...

Only 32.5% of total hosts are active (granted credit in last month).
It would seem that from the introduction of S5 units there has been a considerable loss of crunchers. I guess they may be switching to other projects...
Even though I got involved in doing distributed computing awhile back when the SETI@Home project started and my Pentium 66 computer was cranking out one WU every 400 hours or so, as of June 17th the four computers I had online crunching Einstein are now doing other things. One does internet, one just plays music, one only gets turned on to play games and the fourth hasn't been turned on in weeks.
Funny how the noise level in the room has gone down, as has the heat level. I don't have replace cpu and other fans in the systems, which seemed to fail with great regularity.
When the akosf optimized apps came along, and wu's that were taking 8-10 hours starting processing in 2 hours, it looked like finally the project was getting efficient. Of course, then started the bitching about unfair credits gained by using the optimized apps, more stuff that should be added to even out the credits, etc. Then comes S5, and the completion time for wu's goes to 35 plus hours, without any intervention by me.
While I wish the best for SETI and Einstein projects, my five year contribution of time, money and patience has ended.
I've charted the trend at Seti, and have kept a very loosely collected set of numbers for Einstein.

There seems to be an across the board decline of "active users" in most projects, and in Boinc in general. (A few projects have gained, but the gain/loss doesn't balance) There are many reasons that this decline may be happening, from disgruntled users, to users that have not upgraded apps thus no longer getting work, to users located in the "summer time" parts of the world temporarily pulling the plugs on their crunchers and heading for the beach instead. At this point, any decrease hasn't seemed to have adversely affected any of the projects.
