Hello dear David Hammer,

Hello dear David Hammer,

I tried to see the new windows test application for Einstein@Home but i received a warning message telling me that i could lost all my WU because Seti and Einstein have not yet finished their work in my computer.

On the other hand when i was trying to have my graphics as signature, in Einstein, my team's Stats UW-Madison was rejected many times , so i decided to change UW-Madison to UW-Milwaukee,e.g. joining your team. But just now when i tried again to include my team's graphic on my signature , i was astonished when i saw that i had always UW-Madison as team, although i was quitting it and joining your team Milwaukee. Now my question is the following : is there any difference between UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee? And why having joined UW-Milwaukee i have always Madison as my team ?

Thank you ,
Cheers

Ariane

Is it my imagination or is

Is it my imagination or is there a visible difference in the fluidity of the celestial sphere movement between the BOINC interface and the Einstein@Home Beta Version? The BOINC program does appear more continuous and fluid than the beta version of Einstein 0.18. The Einstein 0.18 does appear to process the workunit faster than the BOINC program.

BOINC is merely the framework for the science applications. It runs no actual project oriented code. Any performance differences are solely the domain of the science application.

The subject of "Invalid

The subject of "Invalid Results" has arisen and been debated several times since I've been browsing the Einstein boards. Usually the discussion centers around differences between the various platform applications. Today, I came across a WU where all were processed by Windows apps. Three were processed by 4.79 (and they got credit). The other one was processed by 0.18 (and it got zero). I thought you guys might be interested.

WU = http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/2291050.

I was "checking up" on one of the people I have recommended the Beta App to and I saw this WU with a "Client error" message:

I don't know if it is still

I don't know if it is still of any interest to the powers that be but the new application successfully finished the computation of a result on a Windows NT SP6a workstation. Also, the screensaver is working fine again with the computer's Matrox Millenium G400 graphics card (it did not work with the current application 4.79). Thanks for the good work of the Einstein@Home team.
