I've got a Radeon HD 5670 1gb card which reads as not being utilised by BOINC even though I think I've set the GPU preferences correctly (although might have messed up somewhere trying to configure settings both with BAM and with einstein.phys...)- any thoughts? I'd love to contribute my beasty GPU power as well as my CPU processors.

Cheers,

Ollie

GPU not being utilised - help!

Quote from Message boards : News : Einstein@Home GPU Application for ATI/AMD Graphics Cards:

Quote:
Volunteers who wish to run this application will need to install version 7.0.27 or later of the BOINC client. Please see this thread for more information, or if you want to ask questions.

Cheers, but where can I get

Cheers, but where can I get 7.0.27? I can't find it. And 7.0.28 looks rather intimidating with the (MAY BE UNSTABLE - USE ONLY FOR TESTING) tagline lol.

I currently have 7.0.25.

Many thanks.

Of course the older 7.0.27 version is also a developer version, so the same intimidating comment applies to it as well. You can always downgrade back to 7.0.25 (the current stable version) if you encounter any problems. I use 7.0.27 and 7.0.28 on some of my computers and have found nothing that appears to be unstable in a way that would make me want to go back to 7.0.25.

Since your computers are hidden, I can't check if you made a typo, but if 7.0.3 is correct, please look at the second post in this thread for an answer!
