Just to add to Vagn's post, I too have seen a number of Mac task failing to validate, Linux/Windows seem to be OK and I've had one Mac/Mac success but Mac doesn't to seem to be happy with the others, look like the cross-platform issues may have surfaced again
The Computer with Darwin 10.8.0 has 3 validation inconclusive to wingman with Win 7 and Linux
and one marked as invalid to wingman with Win 7 and Linux
Where's the fun gone - the new credit system is not to see through - for hours working your PC with the large computationally intensive job and as a thank you get 200 - others take only small light jobs and gets easily between 250 and 500
You have to tighten up and change the system otherwise it ends up with no bother to spend time on the more demanding jobs
It is also becoming more common that you have about 100 jobs pending and all too often is inconclusive validation the normal standard.
Maybe you should consider commissioning phase - so new users can not download too many jobs down before they have proven they can and will deliver jobs back within the timeframe
I've got about 40 of theses WUs at the 4th august but the deadline is the 9th august? All of them are now behind the deadline many of them are not finished.
My computer is not online and is taken once a week online to flush the cache but now I lost many crunched credits.
Is this a general problem with this new application?

New applications often have shorter deadlines so the project developers have the results back faster than usual.
But I see your problem. I also got some of the new tasks and they took 40000s and only granted 200 credits each.

Hi!
Thanks for the feedback. The team is looking at the cross platform validation issues.

It pays to read before posting.

I have read all the posts - I just gave my opinion about the system - I guess that´s OK or do I have to ask permission to do so.

You do *not* have to ask for permission. But your intention to only comment on BOINC credit-new was apparently lost in translation...
