I made your link active.

The first erroneous task shows

The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3) - exit code 3 (0x3)
[10:41:44][404][ERROR] Couldn't open temporary checkpoint file: status.cpt.tmp (Invalid argument).
[10:41:44][404][ERROR] Demodulation failed (error: 3)!

All subsequent tasks showInput file einstein_S5R6_3.01_windows_intelx86_1.exe missing or invalid: -120

Gundolf

... in the middle of a computation. Try to find out what happened to your machine at that time. Maybe some program broke or filled the filesystem, or changed the permissions. If you can't find the error, try removing and re-installing BOINC, preserve the account_*.xml files from the BOINC directory at most.

I've seen something similar

Message 95321 in response to message 95320

I've seen something similar to this happen on a machine where the disk developed some bad sectors. If you get a similar problem again, try stopping BOINC (and any other things running) and doing a complete check of your filesystem and scanning your disk for bad sectors.

You didn't happen to bump your machine while relocating it by any chance :-).

Cheers,
Gary.

nope. left it stationary and shut it down via vnc. so far 2 completed and validated.

not a bad idea on the disk check. wish i thought of it :)
