I have an HD 4350 laying around. It is only single precision. Can Einstein use it? I have a semi retired P4 that I should be able run the card using a PCI to PCIe adapter. Any thoughts?
No, it won't work here. The HD4350 is of the OpenCL 1.0 variety, while OpenCL 1.1 is the minimum required. That's the HD5xxx GPUs and above. See this thread for the original BRP requirements.
yes the only really productive science project you can run with it is seti with this card and 12.x drivers. I have one unused too, because under 11.x opencl speed is extremly low and it runs more on cpu then gpu ^^
Can this work?

Thanx, I was thinking about

Thanx, I was thinking about Seti but I don't think I'll waste the electricity for the low processing speed.
I am shure it will run

I am shure it will run colatz,
You have run colatz before,
I have a 4650 in an AGP slot that does very well for itself running colatz.
