Yeah my avatar was having problems changing and then it was changing to the wrong pic (it was Lucas McCain just before this one by accident)
When the Tesla one worked I decided to keep it.
Steiger in this movie makes people that don't know think he is actually like that guy in the movie (that accent)
edit: yeah mine has my old gate too and it was replaced in 2007 and the driveway was paved about 3 years ago and I wish I would have did that with concrete instead.
Reading or typing in the dark is easier if you have a Tesla Coil in the room
The grapes have reached the high plains. There is to be an open air Creedence Clearwater Revival concert to amuse them. Perhaps they will "keep of the grass". How do I know this ? Well I heard it through the grapevine .... it took me by surprise I must say, when I found out yesterday. :-) :-)
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal
@David - Whit is a perfectly good word in it's full or shortened form
"I don't care a whit about it", Whit Monday, 1/2" Whit for a screw thread.
As for childhood innocence, I lost that when I found out that the mince pie and sherry we always left out for Santa was scoffed by dad, and the tooth fairy was mum. We still have them at the bottom of our garden, but it's usually a couple of pretty boys over the park at the back.
And if times get worse we'll have a grape depression again.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
I still have my original Cosmos Factory album and also a never played remastered version from Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs that I got back in 1980.......so they are both old now!
Hard to wear them out since I haven't had a working turntable for over 15 years now.
I loved Fortunate Son for the music long before I found what the song meant ( you could avoid being conscripted to fight/die in Vietnam if you had rich and/or powerful & socially well connected parents ). Likewise Galveston by Glenn Campbell. There was alot of amazing insight from 'useless hippies'. If I'd been born a bit earlier I reckon I could have been a quite annoying one ! :-)
Cheers, Mike.

Bill:
Nice work, but locomotives do not float (except on barges and ships). Neither do posters of Alfred E. Neuman, and I definitely appear to be off the side of the tugboat.
@David
Ah Kimosabe ... give credit where credit is due. Anniet made all of those great photos !
You'll have to ask her about the amphibious Train LOL !

I will attribute that error to my extreme fatigue at the time I posted it.

Is that standard Santa fare? Over here, it's usually milk and cookies. (Don't want the young'uns knowing anything at all about alcohol, you know. We're sooooo Victorian...)
Now, what else was I going to say..?
Oh yeah, satellite. Mainly because of reception issues like snow. Don't want a dish on the house. Etc. etc.

Ah poop. I got into edit mode on my last post before the hour was up, but by the time I finished typiing my edit, it was too late. Now I have to double post.
Anyway, I remembered another thing I wanted to say.
Those of you who admire Tesla will not appreciate his treatment in the Leviathan trilogy. The books are heavy on the steampunk, less so on the teen angst, set in an alternate WW-I where the factions are called Darwinists and Clankers. Tesla appears in the middle of the second book and by the end of the third turns out to be quite the madman (and dead).

Hmm... busy day... :) I couldn't find who you're seeking there either Mikey :) That's the problem with not being fully recognised for your achievements I suppose... out there... in the big wide world... through no fault of your own... But never mind :)
Annie:What have you got against whit? It's a perfectly good word. It describes the amount of common sense that most of us don't have
It's a lovely word David :) I haven't the least bit against it... not one whit in fact :) but I needed the other one in order to insult Mike with it... :) Was that wrong of me? :))))))))))

Whatever your reasons... they are an inspiration to me :) good link btw :)))))) and hope you feel better soon! And IF it is your birthday today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You're a day younger than my son who turned nineteen yesterday :)
As for childhood innocence, I lost that when I found out that the mince pie and sherry we always left out for Santa was scoffed by dad, and the tooth fairy was mum.
My other half tried to play the tooth fairy once... total disaster :) He's rubbish as the easter bunny too... talk about shattering your children's illusions right from the start :)
For those familiar with maps, you'll notice it's a lot broader than the latitude you need to go west along. That's for our American friends... in case they get disorientated by a map without the USA on... :)
For everyone else... and for our American friends once they're up to it :) (bless them :)) here is what you need, but in more detail...
Of course... knowing how far west to go is key...
For those who listened to the Village People's instructions, you know precisely how many times you were told to go west AND how many people told you to go west each time...
... and you'd have already done the maths thing and multiplied the one number by the other number and you would be exactly where you needed to be. Well done! Have a twinkly star :)
For the rest of you... it was a lot! Not as much as enough to get you back where you started from though, but a lot. In fact... it would have been much quicker if you'd ignored them and gone East instead... but that's not my problem :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Hi Bill :)
Good news on the computer Scott :)
GTX275 eh... *nod wisely* Nice! *listen to the pretty birdies twittering*
I would have struggled a bit I think...
...but the timing is VERY interesting... all 323 days of it :)
Okay... at the risk of sounding like I'm NAGGING *breathe deeply and count to ten*
...here's a map to help you focus on the near perfect latitude I referred to several centuries ago...
