Hi,
I started back and decided to use my Android mobile. However, E@H gives me the "Could not connect" message every time I try to connect. The client message in the event log says: Fetching configuration file from einsteinathome.org/get_project_config.php
what seems to be the issue here?
Thanks

On the Android mobile having the issue, what happens if you open a web browser and try the given address: einsteinathome.org/get_project_config.php ?
Do you get a xml-file with project config settings or do you get an error?
If you get an error then try to remove and then add Einstein@home again, and if that doesn't work then try to remove and reinstall Boinc on the device.
I get "Page not found", ...
)
YES! I see a XML file.. and the line for <web_rpc_url_base> reads: https://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/
What do you suggest I do next?
BTW, on the BOINC Client of the Android mobile, I even tried to manually link to https://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ instead of https://einsteinathome.org/ but I guess since it will always revert me back to https://einsteinathome.org/, I keep receiving the same message again. Please also note that the message appears seconds after I type in my account information; email, user name and password and hit continue; while the the BOINC Client is trying to "attach" to the project...
Edit#20+: Currently, I have 4 out 12 WUs running for SETI@home and Rossetta@home on the BOINC client, with no problem .. I suspended WCG to free-up more resources.
Thanks

It's been a while since I last used an Android device to run Boinc so not updated on the latest versions.
Do you get any other messages in the log other than 'could not connect' and 'fetching configuration file' when trying to attach?
I seem to remember that one could enable more verbose logging in the client settings, maybe that can shed some light on this?

Thanks, HOLMES.
No, there is no other messages.
Any idea on how to resolve this issue? Anyone?

Since you can get to the get_project_config.php XML, the problem is probably not a network connection issue. It's probably deeper the client. I don't know if its possible: do make sure you have latest, most up-to-date Android BOINC client.
Unfortunately, without any additional log messages or verbose/debugging logs we can't diagnose what's going on. Obviously the BOINC client works generally because you can connect to other projects. So the problem is something specific to E@H, but what that is I have no idea.
Perhaps there is a discussion forum for Android BOINC, where you can try to find out if there is a way to enable more verbose logging?
Sorry, but we're kind of grasping at straws since we have little to go on. (This is not your fault, it's the nature of these things).

Thank you all.
I made a thread on BOINC forum .. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=12487#86564
As it might be of help to anyone else having same issues.

Hi,
I was informed by a BOINC moderator on how to enable more verbose/debugging logs and here it is the http_debug file which relates to my recent attempt of adding Einstein@home project on Sun Jun 17 06:55:04

Another update: we tracked down the issue and it's definitely a server-side regression. We hope to have it fixed as soon as we've identified the root cause.

Many thanks Oliver for the feedback.
I can not take from my mind the idea that I'm, perhaps, the only user who recently tried to attach to the project using his android to notice and report this issue.
Are there other android users?
