TLPTPW was locked prematurely. I did not make a final determination of who won.

It would seem that Annie did, in fact, not know the winning number. Therefore, I will explain.

Bugs that are not really bugs is the Beatles. For some reason, "The One After 909" was stuck in my head, but it would take way too long to get there here. So I switched it to the 9 after 101.

Chris made post 110, so he is technically the winner. If he really doesn't want it, it can go to Annie for 109 or Jonathan for 111 or Mike for a rather amusing 112.

The Beatles did cross my mind

The Beatles did cross my mind after the Herbie films did, but I discalculiated the one after 909 as 910 and then merged my eyes together about half way down my nose.

What came out was 109 which I thought sounded about right for about four years ago - hence 113 - which to be honest I forgot to discalculiate. I also forgot to congratulate Mike. 112 was a fine post :) Congratulations!

edit: the congratulations are for the win. Just thought I'd clarify that. I'm going to try getting flat somewhere now. I'd like to think it will work this time :) but in case it doesn't, I won't say night night yet, but will later.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Welcome to the next

Welcome to the next installment of the game!!

Simple rules:
- Post in this thread, anything with a coherent message (ie one word posts don't count)
- Stay within the message board rules
- Empty posts are invalid towards winning
- You must wait for someone else to post before you can post again, any and all multiple posts are invalid towards winning
- Have FUN

Rules Subject to change at moderators discretion without notice.

The winner will be the last person that posted, when I have time to check the thread, after one of these events:
- A specific date and/or time occurs
- A specific number of posts have been made in this thread or another
- I get tired of ya'll nagging me who is the winner :)
- An event I have chosen occurs (doesn't occur)

Sorry there are no physical prizes, only the satisfaction you played and won. :)

Mike's Addendum : extra points available for random acts of humor.

With regard to my court appearance : I did embellish slightly. That big guy at security who was staring at me, he was the 'take-down guy' for sure. I forgot to mention that I hadn't seen the other one behind me until later, who was discretely obscured by a partition.

Cheers, Mike.

You most certainly walked

You most certainly walked into that one head first Mike!! I think I would rather have seen Annie win it. we just don't see enough of her these days :-(  But no matter we will all soldier on.

See, you were a marked man from the very beginning. These aspidistra pot plants are very useful when observing dodgy characters incognito :-))

Congratulations Mike! Even

Congratulations Mike!

Even if we were told the clue was about the Beatles I would not have guessed the number to be 110.

Now the question is, what do you get for extra points, or in that respect, any points what soever? Points are a new concept for the TLPTPW I guess.

Oh this comes under "Rules Subject to change at moderators discretion without notice."

I just did that straight off the bat ( invent a new rule ). You just get points ie. the pure pleasure them being gifted to you. :-))

Cheers, Mike.

Carpe Diem ! Today I have

Carpe Diem ! Today I have seen three amazing things : First was a chap who survived when I didn't think he would. Second was an incredible triple rainbow while driving home, the Sun setting behind me, with that special sharp sort of polarised light. Third is watching a live spacewalk* with two astronauts** at the ISS. :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I know, I know...because they make up everything!!

My son has his PHD in chemistry and does not think that joke is funny, so we all tell that to him everytime we see him!! He groans and THAT makes it really funny!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your win Mike!!!
