I cannot be too critical of my son, as he knows when I was his age my car ownership included Lotus Europa, Lancia Fulvia 1.6HF and Dino 246GT, wish I had kept that, but Army sent me to place where I couldn't take car and I didn't have storage place, current value in concourse condition >£250,000.
I honestly don't know what I'd buy if I had to get a new car now. Something pretty similar to what I have now. When i've had service loaners, they felt cramped, even if they were the same size outside. Once, they didn't have a loaner and had to rent me a Suburban and even that was tight inside (they made the seats smaller and the storage compartment between them bigger).

The Honda Ridgeline is a sports utility truck (SUT) as against an SUV. It can also be used as a makeshift tent for overnight fishing. With a 4WD option it tries to be a number of things, an all in one hybrid off roader/pick up truck.
Mine looks very similar to that, no roof rack though and not a hybrid. In fact they are not importing a hybrid version to America at this point, maybe later in the 2018 model year or the 2019 or even 2020 years models. They are working on the new 10 speed transmission right now, apparently it works well for 2 wheel drive but not for 4 wheel drive vehicles. I heard it could be the transfer case connection but nothing official I have seen yet. Once that gets worked out most Honda's will get that, the minivans are getting it in the 2018 model year, then they will put the hybrid system in most of their vehicles. I also heard their new hybrid works much like the Mercedes and golf carts, ie it shuts the engine off at stop lights then starts right back up again once you touch the gas pedal. It works very well in my wifes Mercedes mini suv, a gla-250. In the Mercedes you can turn that off but the Dealer said it will save about 20% in gas over a year, so we leave it on. Turbocharged engines require high test gas and that stuff isn't cheap, so saving where you can is a no brainer.
Oh and I'll take the "Bambleweeny 36" please, slow but steadily accelerating will get me to the next star system. No need to blow them up when I get there though!!
I don't know what either are, so I'll either have nothing or let you decide. From Chris his answer I understand they are both equal though, both fiction.

I prefer not to drive to many long distances so that the car I own doesn't matter too much. And I too don't have any relevant knowledge about cars.

Question for the day
Would you rather have a Bambleweeny 36 or an Illudium Pu-36?
"I don't know what one is so I'll take the other" is not an acceptable answer.

Sadly I am booked on a standard flight this evening and an earthbound destination, Sir. I look forward to taking the Bambleweeny on my return. :-)
Best wishes to all until then.
