I guess you'll have to wait about 40 hours for one S5GCE task to finish (if running at 100% CPU time).
Ack! I did that and all projects just zipped through. However, according to BOINC:
Quote:
Use at most X% of CPU time
If you specify 50%, BOINC will compute only every other second. This reduces the heat output and energy usage of your CPU chip.
I'm on an old PowerPC & don't want it to die early. I keep my computers & cars for a verrrrrry long time.

I gave up crunching on my oldest active computer (1995 vintage) several years ago - just was taking too long and now no longer supported. If newer equipment would just last a few years without problems (barely 5 years old and on 2nd motherboard) I might get everything still used migrated off the old one.
My 1990 car is still running pretty good too. Either one could just stop running any day but I hope not for a while.

I didn't say you should run at 100%, only that my estimate was for that case ;-)
However, I'm running two laptops at 100% since six resp. nine years without problems. The only thing I have to do is to clean them out regularly, so that the temperature doesn't go too high.
