One of my older computers 2859 seems to have been doing a slow dissapearing act on me. I have been running Einstein on this computer for several months, but have noticed that the majority of the previous work units have since dissapeared. The Results for 2859say there are only 4 work units that have beenprocessed, two of which are currently being worked on. I know there should be many more WU's, but it says I have only been working on it since mid-March! Where o where have my work units gone??

After a WU is validated it will be stored on the servers for a week, I think, then it will be moved to another database that we (the users) can't see.
The servers will work better and faster with a smaller database.
But all credit will stay with you.

The actual results are

The actual results are archived and removed from the database one week after final validation. After that, you'll have no record of the individual work units in your list anymore.

This has no effect on the credit, and if you look at that computer you see that it shows over 2600 on its credit. All the work still gets credited to you - you just don't see it in your list anymore.

^^^ (ignore that sorry)

The you gyus ought to get a kick out of my profile that says I have only done 11 and contacted the server 117 times

http://einsteinathome.org/host/16693

It was at 10 consistently, then out of curiousity I changed a setting allowing Einstein to show my computer on its webpage and it jumped to 11.

11 units with a credit of 2,398.29 is amusing in the least.

Ok, I read the above and have

Ok, I read the above and have a situation on our team that is probably related--but there is some variation that I'd like to learn about.

For instance, I joined on 9 March 05 and have been churning away slowly. My total score is fine, but I only show the most recent 15 results since about 22 March 05. 71253 Based on my score and my RAC, I know I've completed about 24 WU's. So I am not able to view the completed WU's from 9 March through 22 March. In a sense, they've "scrolled off". That seems to be explained by the exchanges above.

On my team, we have another user, who also joined on 9 March 05. He has completed around 41 WU's and every WU he's completed since 9 March is still visible. 70914 In a sense, none of his completed WU's have "scrolled off".

So, the question is, why are some users having WU's "scroll off" and some not?

After looking at your team-mates two oldest workunits they show that the last result returned is within 7 days from now.

A WU is only "removed" 7 days after all results are back or missed the deadline and then validated.

Thanks so much for your

Thanks so much for your reply. I see what you mean and I now see the specific idea of "removed" 7 days after ALL results are back etc.

You are right, some of my earliest WU's actually remained pending for an unusually long period and I had forgotten that.

Thanks again and you seem to be right on the mark.
