And he's not alone in that. Kip Thorne, one of the "fathers" of LIGO, reportedly made quite an art out of it. Some of the bets concerned when Gravitational Waves would be detected directly for the first time. It seems the bets are formally written down in calligraphy, framed and hung outside his office at Caltech. There's a photo of one such bet in the book "Travelling at the Speed of Thought" by D. Kennefick, and it reads like this:

Though he has learned basic takeout-ordering commands, he will often relapse into the grunts and mumbles he is believed to have learned from the male parent, and will occasionally emit a high whine.
