You really can't go too far past dear Gary. For some reason, and I really don't exactly know why, these two still continue to tickle me. But alot of Mr. Larson's work is like that. :-)
Cheers, Mike.
[ edit ] My son just tells me that Windows 7 will have permissions upon executable files on a per user or folder basis. Wow, like that's never been done. Gee ....
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Hah! That's a classic Larson .... :-)
Like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, I was actually up and flying when you posted that! Some quantum entanglement thingy maybe? My instructor and I were flying ( well, I was doing the flying ) around the boundaries of the training area. It's about 500 square miles ( 15 x 30 ) with the limits being the greater City of Melbourne to the south & west, and bracketed by various mountain ranges elsewhere. Kept out of the cloud banks and no goats were sighted .... :-)
I'll be certified for 'training area solo' operations after I've covered forced landings ( glide to ground, due to engine failure, well away from aerodrome - I've requested/elected to do double the standard time allotted for those lessons ), the written/MCQ General Flying Progress Test, and of course the obligatory two hour test flight where they deliberately run you through the paces while asking annoying but relevant questions ( "If we lost power right NOW, where would YOU elect to land?" ). The planes cost a fair bit, and while insured, they don't let just any twit/twat fly them alone. :-)
With the Weather Gods on my side I could nail it before Xmas .... if not then in the New Year.
Cheers, Mike.
