issues like this do tend to pop up after a crash of sorts... happened at DD@H.
not surprised, give them some time to work on it.

In my case the WU's had completed. So since it was caused by the crash, I expect credit for the work completed.

No, it wasn't download errors, it was validate errors. Two different machines, one Windows and one Macintosh. Both WU's downloaded before the server crash, finished during the outage, and reported after the server recovery. Both WU's were then disqualified due to Validate Error. These machines never have that problem. They are stock machines running stock applications. The error was obviously on the server side, and I suspect I'm not the only one this happened to.
But I think I'm in the wrong thread. Looks like this is the right place: Validate errors
So, I'm still expecting to receive my credits, since the Sys Ops could have protected us from this problem. Otherwise I'll just abort all E@H work whenever there's an outage.

Hmmmm. I've seen the advice to suspend communication. But no one has disclosed how to determine when the server will be back up again. Going off line for an indeterminate period is not much of an option...

The best advice is to change your BOINC version. See my reply to you here.
If an outage were to hit right now, you could just suspend your network communications so your client (if it were 5.10.21 to 5.10.45) would be prevented from attempting uploads. The client will stiil keep crunching the tasks you have on board until all are finished and there is nothing to stop you using your browser to check when the server is back up again. At that point, restore network communications in your BOINC client and all tasks crunched during the outage would be safely uploaded. This is what Gundolf is telling you to do to avoid the 'validate error' losses. It's a perfectly feasible course of action if you only have to worry about E@H. If you support multiple projects then you have a real problem since allowing other projects to communicate will also allow your E@H results to be lost.
Just bite the bullet and upgrade BOINC out of the bad version range.

Any progress on the download

Any progress on the download issue? My home computer can download Climateprediction and SETI WUs without issue. It just has the following issue with Einstein. My work computer downloads Einstein just fine.
