[1] E@H Notification system:
Recently E@H was down for several freaking days (I was the one who was freaking). With no warning, no notification system, not even the Wisconson server was up! my reaction is explainable - I thought the midwest was dragged into the Pacific ocean, or maybe aliens landed and were forcing the Wisconson admins to smoke wacky weed... Regardless I was in the dark about everything E@H.

So my suggestion is to have the URL up with a simple message (redirtection from the URL is possible in the domain name server): "E@H down for ...(state reason here)."

[2] STATS marker:
I live (yes, I have no life) for the number of w.u.'s my machines punch out _every day_. The current statistics chart rounds this off to the nearsest 10,000.

My suggestion is to do a "rollover" with the exact (ok, _current_) count displayed when the cursor rolls over a point on the chart.

640,000+ w.u.'s and counting.

--Let the flamming begin!--

"You're an idiot!"

"newb!"

"640,000 wu's?? weak - I have 6,400,000!"

I apologize if I left any other flammers spam out of the above possibilities - I know how sensitive you guys (flamers) can be.

Friday evening there was a notice on the normal homepage already what was going on and what the expected downtime was going to be. It may have been needed to reload the page to get it, but the message was there.

And else we have a Project Outage thread on the BOINC Dev forums, in which we try to keep everyone up to date as to what is happening, when we see it and when we manage to get information from the affected project's administrators.
