I have not received any new work units in a couple of weeks. Is there a problem, or just a slow down in new WU.
There's definitely no slow down, as you can see from my log (UTC+1):
Quote:
08/12/2008 16:23:23|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 17 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
08/12/2008 16:23:29|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request succeeded: got 1 new tasks
Your list of tasks shows that you returned a task just today that had been sent to you on 11/28, and you have two active tasks sent on 12/1, that's one week (your turnaround time is 11.5 days).
Do you see any error messages in the Messages tab of BOINC Manager? If yes, best do a complete restart of BOINC and afterwards post the first about 30 messages here (including those of an update process).

Should you maybe be posting to the Orbit@Home forum instead? :P
Actually, perhaps more like the SETI forum. That system has 4 AstroPulse tasks and quite a few Multibeam tasks, as well as 2 tasks here. The 4 AP tasks are likely the source of the issue, considering AP is very anti-AMD. The system is very overextended and has likely built up debt and/or may be realizing that there could be deadline problems.
Orbit doesn't have any work right now. They are just ramping up.
I noticed the 5 AP work Units. I've never had more than 2 before. But I did just upgrade to Optimized AP last month so it is running faster but still not up to Avg run time. Its running 10-15% over. But that is faster.
I'll check with Seti to see if there is a problem.
I'd check disk space and they applicable settings on the host account page, Seti files compared to Einstein are small. I have no idea how big Orbit's files are.

Since your computer didn't request any work when you sent the manual request it implies that Einstein currently owes time to other projects (probably orbit).
One thing you can try if you run out of Einstein tasks is the following:
1. Set all projects to "No new tasks" except for Einstein
2. Temporarily start suspending tasks for your other projects one at a time until your computer sends out a request for work. Don't suspend the tasks too quickly or you may get more work than you can handle. Sometimes you have to suspend all your other projects' tasks, and sometimes you only have to suspend one task to get work.
3. Re-enable your other tasks and set your projects to accept tasks again.
*Note that this only works if you don't already have a task for Einstein.
The only concern might be that you may have racked up too much debt owed to orbit for this to work anymore (I'm looking at those requests for almost 260000 sec of work whereas my computer is only asking for ~2200 sec from orbit), but it is worth a shot.

If there's a severe debt issue with Orbit, you could clear it by detaching from Orbit and then reattaching. Only do that if all current work is complete and reported (you probably don't have any anyway).
I did a test last night. When I added Orbit as a project I set the Resource Share to 1/3 for each project. This DID setup a huge debt to Orbit. For the test I reset the Resource Share to 5% for Orbit until they start producing WU's. I received 5 Einstein WU's overnight.
Thanks for your ideas guys, they helped get me moving again.
