I've noticed that the credit on my preferences page and the credit that the BOINC Client displays is different. The client seems like it's 1 workunit behind. Is this normal, or is something wrong?

Hello Joshua,
it's normal. The client only knows the data of the last contact to the server. Probably the time of the last DL-WU. It will always be behind.

I imagine the client is using the value it got from the server the last time it updated with the server. Since that time a further result has been validated on the server that the client doesn't yet know about. Try a manual update and see if everything then syncs up.
