Find it on the revived Power User Apps page.
This was built "hands-off" on YellowDog Linux on a Sony PS3 and thus should run under similar installations.
In contrast to the BOINC Core Client of PS3Grid this is an unmodified one. In particular it doesn't hardcode the CPU number to 1, so without further settings ("on multiprocessor systems use only 1 cpus") this Core Client won't work with the PS3Grid Apps.
The Einstein@Home App doesn't make use of the SPEs (yet), so isn't very fast compared to what other projects get out of the Cell CPU. On the other hand it should run on other non-Cell Linux/PPC systems, too.
I'd be curious to know how running this App in two threads ("2 CPUs", per default) compares to one thread (limit to 1 CPU or use PS3Grid Client) on the Cell, and whether there are other installations it runs on, too.

Sorry, I don't understand - are you running Linux on your G5 Mac or MacOS X?

Dear Bernd,
the Yellowdog app unfortunately does not run on my SLES 9 SP3
IBM Power Blades due to version conflicts e.g. for libstdc++.
I detached them from the project again, feel free to contact me if
you want/need access the nodes for to porting purposes.

yes i know but sometime an Linux app for PPC can run on Mac OS X so i test it !
Somebody has test it on a Linux/PowerPC box ?
RE: yes i know but sometime

Yes, I tried it on a IBM JS21 Power Blade with two Dual Core PPCs 970MP. The
OS was SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 SP3 for PowerPC. This build of the application didn't start as it requires newer versions of some libraries like libstdc++ than provided by this environment.
