Hello all,
I have an Intel iMac with an Intel Core 2 Duo running at 2.4 2.4 GHz. In my EAH I have 4 results with unclaimed credit and my SAH with 11 results with unclaimed credit. Some of these go back to November 2nd.
1. Will I ever get credit for these?
2. Why are they listed as unclaimed credit when results with newer dates are listed as granted credit?
Thanks,
Steve

Pending Credit...
)
You will get credit for them as soon as the quorum on them is reached. There are always a minimum of two computers needed at Einstein to reach the quorum. It's just a fail-safe mechanism to check that the data you returned is actually data.
So just wait until the other computers that have the same tasks return them.

It can take a while before the other computer comes in with a result, especially if they have problems. I've had to wait for two or three months before I got credit. The important thing is that you will get credit eventually. Patience is key.
I've seen WUs which crashed
)
I've seen WUs which crashed on as many as three different PCs; having to wait for all three would make you wait quite a while for your credits.
Then there are vintages hosts, some people here are still running P3s or P2s or comparable AMDs.
Add to that hosts running at a low res share and therefore taking their time for Einstein WUs and people with really large work caches of a week or more, and you can easily get huge pendings without having to worry the slightest bit.
Atm, my desktop PC (a reasonably fast 3500+, almost 24/7, running a one-day-cache) has 5 of its 16 WUs pending, and that's not even a multicore. So if you're running a really fast box, maybe a good quadcore, or have many comparably fast PCs running many hours a day, I think 1000s of pending credits wouldn't be that unusual.
RE: I've seen WUs which

I've got 4,250 pending at the moment, across several machines - that's a bit less than twice my RAC, and seems pretty stable.
When I was doing my timing run, and a Q6600 (quad core) running full-blast on Einstein, I got so far ahead of my wingmen (and wing-women - sorry Annika!) that I ran up over 20,000 pending on the one box. (All cleared now).
Thank you to all that have
)
Thank you to all that have responded. I appreciate all of your assistance. I can see how they would accumulate with others that have slower machines.
Cheers,
Steve

It doesn't take it long to build up. Mine finally dropped below 9k today, from a high of over 12k a week ago.
Well, I'm up to 9,500 pending
)
Well, I'm up to 9,500 pending and rising. Does anyone know the ratio of pending to granted/day with a 1 day cache? I'd assume the ratio is higher for short Connection intervals and small caches as compared to someone with a weeks worth of work. Since, I'm probably the first to return a particular wu.
RE: Well, I'm up to 9,500
)
I'm currently at about double (13.2K pending, 6.7K RAC) - with a 1 day cache.
It also depends on how you drive the machine. When I was doing the speed test runs (Q6600 on 100% Einstein), pending got much higher - well over 20K (even though the cache was still only one day): it's because you tend to chase down the sequence numbers in a frequency band, and get a long way ahead of the work even being issued to your wing-mates.
Edit - that's interesting: I've just re-read the rest of the thread, and found that I gave the same answer when the same question was asked 3 months ago! About double it is then, unless you're pushing a fast machine really hard.
RE: Well, I'm up to 9,500

I run a 1 day cache with a RAC of about 5200 and 14500-15500 in peding.
( I run with a few computers and with some time spent on other projects)

All you fast cats have to wait for us old goats to catch up. I have only one cpu and an internet connection with a mind of its own.
