OK, what's the story? Everthing on my account and individual host task lists are showing as being invalid, even stuff that has passed and had been granted credit.

The individual task pages seem to be OK except for the invalid state.

AH, OK! News appeared, DB crash apparently. :-(

That is a little spooky isn't it? Enough to send you running for the nitro pills!

It's a good thing SETI@home

It's a good thing SETI@home had crashed a good twelve hours earlier (air conditioning problems), so BOINC had started to do its thing and build up extra e@h buffers on the hosts attached to both projects.....

.....er, that's assuming that it wasn't the extra load from s@h refugees that crashed the database in the first place.

I didn't get anything extra from here. I have one 12-hour result left. Beyond that, SETI is still down, and LHC has implemented a 2/day (per core) limit because of some "advertising of the project" and wanting "new recruits" to have work rather than being discouraged (as if they won't be discouraged LATER ON when the project goes to the low/no work generation again)...

Looks like I'm going to be saving on some power consumption in about 12 hours...

Good I was a bit puzzled because one WU that I was valid before and one That I haven´t crunched yet was reported as validated error.

Please see the announcement at the home page. The project is down for the moment until a database problem is solved. Hopefully just a few more hours of outage. Sorry for the inconvience.

I just looked at my results, and they're all marked as Invalid Results, also.

It is getting close to Halloween--at least here in the U.S.--, so I suppose it's only right that spooky things start to happen.

Well, they just updated the news, and it looks like it's going to take a couple of more hours than they thought originally to get it all fixed.

I didn't want to rain on Bikeman's parade, as it were, but I still believe it will be down for the night.

Elsewhere, in a project far, far, away, the DL server seems to be non-responsive.

As I said, I'm guessing I'll be saving some electricity tonight...
