SVN Revision Number Needed for the Current BOINC Backend

The battery preference on named venues is currently broken, and apparently the server version reported in the CC message logs does not reflect what the actual version of the backend is.

This makes it hard to report this on the BOINC boards, or make a TRAC ticket for the problem.

SVN Revision Number Needed for the Current BOINC Backend

Normally it shows on the server status page, but E@H have heavily modified this page so it doesn't show.

If I understand you correctly the server_status page should show the svn revision number of when the project was last updated. That sounds like a nice feature.

Could you point me to a project that has this setup correctly?

Thanks.

I don't think there are any.

I don't think there are any. I looked at all the ones which are readily available to the public, and didn't find a single project which had it displayed.

Unfortunately the main BOINC site is down right now, so I can't get any further clarification at the moment.

In any event, there are a couple threads now in the Web Interfaces regarding these issues, if you hadn't seen them already.

One other note, an alternative might simply be to have the scheduler write the SVNRN in to the server version element of a scheduler reply rather than the CC version number it does currently.

The next time you suspect something new is around, check out Primegrid. That's almost always the site where things show up the first time, since Rytis upholds the server software and is the project admin at Primegrid. He'll be putting things on there first. ;-)

Yep, thanks for the hint. After you made the other post, I checked those out and noticed Rytis' name was right down there on the copyright line and immediately bookmarked PG for easy reference. :-)
