I'm posting this for a team mate

from gravitonring:

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/336001.stm
is it possible that antimatter and matter are the same, with only a change in some aspect that can be reversed !!! something called direct Charge-Parity violation, particles behave differently if you swap matter for anti-matter and swap left and right ???

from XRAYMARTIAN:

I thought it was just a matter of finding out which particular processes were skewed in favor of matter rather than anti-matter. Is it not true that particle physicists and philosophers of nature have known all along that Charge-Parity violation must occur? This violation of course will be accompanied by a time reversal to balance the overall symmetry. Am I missing something else?

Matter/Antimatter

I have read that there is an ongoing experiment at CERN where they try to determine whether the counterpart of hydrogen, made by positrons and anti protons, have the same spectrum as ordinary hydrogen. Does anybody know how fare they have come and if they have actually made anti hydrogen get?

cerncourier.com is a good source of information on all research done at CERN.
