I'm a native Madisonian and a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I'd really like to join a team, but I can't find one for my school (which seems strange because it's huge). I tried looking through the list of teams but not all of them have the school in their name. I'd also be happy just to find a team for Madison (the city, not the school). If anyone knows of a team, or is interested in staring one, please let me know.

By the way, are there ANY other women here? :)

Bound to be one or two lurking around somewhere :).
You could always try Capn Avatar's Babe of the day thread. Might be a few hiding out there :).
Cheers,
Gary.

Actually 4 (Litha, Mo, Dominique and Marj) but who's really counting :)
You know what to do about it. Go out and press gang a few more into the fold :).

Yeah, I meant three replies... :)
I thought about trying to coerce some of my friends to sign up, but I don't think any of them have computers that could handle the software.

Even if they only had a PII - 400 or a low end PIII it would still be able to finish work within the deadline. I've seen mention to times around 40 to 60 hours so that 7 x 8 hours+ per day would make it within the deadline. Probably not very exciting to have to wait that long for a result though :).
Talk your friends into it :). It's a great chat club anyway, full of friendly and helpful people with amazingly responsive admins!! A great place to learn. Then once they get hooked it will be a good excuse to upgrade their hardware :).
Cheers,
Gary.
