Of course as tullio humorously pointed out, viruses is not much of a problem with Linux and the various Unix derivatives, and Macs of course. That may change in the future if the other non-Windows OS's gain a larger "market" share.
Thanks for giving me the UNIX graph. It's been part of my life since 1981 and I am glad to run a SuSE kernel, now that Novell, which owns SuSE, has been recognized as the holder of the UNIX copyright.

As a second thought, the graph lacks the RISCOS which I used on a BULL/MIPS R6000 minicomputer from 1991 to 1994. It was a System V build with many BSD 4.3 tools.

Ah, np. :) I looked it up because I was curious as to when Solaris appeared and figured I would go ahead and link to it.
-edit- I'm curious if the graph can be edited to include the RISCOS...
I use NOD32 too. VERY Fast, daily update and a very efficient heuristic analysis witch help detect new/unknown threats.
This site has informations about the AVs.
on the link comparatives there are 2 types of tests: on demand test (updated virus database Vs today`s viruses) and the proactive test (3 month old database Vs today`s viruses).

I have AVG pro(paid but cheap) and Windows Defender for start...
as additional I recommend Spybot,Spyware guard and Spyware blaster
This combination won't take to much resources and most of time nobody noticed they presence...
Using Google you can find many antivirus/security software reviews. Unfortunately there seems to be just as many opinions about which software is better, depending on your criteria and thoroughness for making that judgment.
One computer (running XP) has Kaspersky Internet Security Suite. As and AV/Firewall goes, I like it.
On my Vista computer I run Avast in combo with the Vista Firewall and Windows Defender. I haven't had a problem. This same computer dual boots with Ubuntu. No AV there.

AVG free on my NT4 system. Norton Av 2007 with paid subscription on XP. At work I have F-Prot, paid, on my XP laptop, and nothing on the Linux system.
