Been at work and now all my projects are Einstein@Home projects. hoe does this happen and what can be done to fix.
Eg: my Seti@home project is now 100% but tries to log into einstein@home to upload??? of course I get a invalid key error message and can't upload. Can anyone help

Seti@Home is at present down. Are you sure it tries to upload to Einstein? Can you show the log from the Messages tab?

Hello Mandy!
Seti is down ATM.
They had a power outage again, and are still not online. Look in Their Technical news.
So Boinc will try to contact them without success, and will run only the other projects.
Thats CPDN, EAH and PPAH for me, and probably just EAH for you.
AFAIK they want to get rid of the cause of the power outages first before restarting, or have at least some better shutdown procedures running.
Nevertheless, this time no work seems to be lost :)

My seti project has renamed itself as a cpdn project and is trying to send a seti work unit to cpdn
predictor is also trying to download more work from cpdn.
Nothing I can do I suppose until boinc's mended
I suspect I will have to detach and re attache from various projects when this is all over.

looks like the client_state

looks like the client_state file probably got corrupted. you can go in the BOINC folder and edit that file, I do not know how to do it so do not ask ... or you can shut BOINC down and restart, or you can reset or detach......Reset and detach cause a lose of all WUs for that project...

Well, in the case where it is not just the name that has changed, but the scheduler url as well, a manual update won't help - it will simply try to connect with the wrong scheduler, resulting in a "Message from server: Invalid or missing account ID. Visit this project's web site to get an account ID." message, as it did in The worm that turned's case.
Mandy's case seems to too extreme, though...

BOINC 4.19. I attached a project to an idle machine on suddenly my SETI project got renamed and was trying to contact the wrong host.
Edited the XML and think I have it OK again but I wont know till i can update on SETI
