A little too late a warning that. But at least it wasn't due to the cake. All those years of alcohol did that to me. So today I am also celebrating that it's now week 7 that I am alcohol free. Really drinking tea and water only, no soda. :-D
(And lost 3 kilos in the past 7 weeks, plus I can see my **** when I pee. TMI anyone? ;-))
Just finished watching Cleveland Indians do it to New York Yankees again. It took a eleven innings this time. Cleveland is leading 2 Games in this division playoff.

I don't hold Columbus Day as a celebratory occasion personally. Columbus did not "discover" America in the sense of finding it first. The First Nations/Native Americans/Amerindians, Leif Erickson, the Olmecs (large statues showing a decided "foreign" attributes, osteological evidence etc.) to name a few proven or credible examples.
