after installing the new 4.25

after installing the new 4.25 versions climate & einstien both have no screensaver... seti only one that is working... I uninstalled the 4.25 and went back to 4.19 and it all works again...
guess it should still be called a beta version (4.25). as it isnt very stable to me...so try the 4.19 again and it will all be ok :)

If you see graphics with 4.19

If you see graphics with 4.19 but NO graphics with 4.25, please post a bug report on the BOINC bug reporting page: http://bbugs.axpr.net/

This is a bug in BOINC, not in Einstein@Home.

Well, uninstalled 4.25 and went back to 4.19. Too devoted to those progress bars and disk usage diagrams. And I don't like the new layout.

I have version 4.19. E@H

I have version 4.19. E@H screensaver and Show Graphics worked until I got my first work unit from S@H through BOINC. Now, S@H has hijacked BOINC screensaver. I prefer the E@H screen saver. How do i switch back without quitting S@H?

Also, none of my previous 2+ years of work on S@H appears as credit although it does appear in the account info page on the net.

The screensaver is a per project feature. So when the Seti@Home screensaver is showing, BOINC will be crunching a S@H work unit.
When E@H starts, the screensaver should change

They show as SETI@home classic workunits (as of 14 May 2004) in your Seti@Home account.

Seti is not BOINC. This may be confusing, but look at it as a totally different program, using a totally different way of calculating the credits.

Are you certain of this, Bruce? I mean, LHC, Seti, CLimate and another project all show their graphics correctly when asked for (I don't use the screensaver), but Einstein@Home doesn't open a seperate window to show the graphics.

I would think that if it were a BOINC problem, that none of the projects I am attached to would show graphics.

I have no problems at all with either screensaver or graphics window. Never had, not on 4.19, nor 4.22 nor 4.25. And with no project (except predictor of course)
I'm running xp pro.

The 'other projects' are typically using very old versions of the BOINC API library in building their graphics. We are using a version that's now about 3 weeks old (from mid-February).

Since we call the BOINC API as documented, and since the graphics DOES work correctly with the 4.19 client and earlier clients, I don't see how the problem can be in the application.

Okay, just double checking. I

Okay, just double checking. I agree with you it would be a BOINC problem then. I did manage to crunch a Pirates unit on my 4.25 with graphics. Hence why I asked extra. :)
