YAHOO!!!!!

One of my K6-2's, which was the first one of my hosts to finish an S5R2 has been granted it's credit! Thank you to my WU wingman and Splash One! :-)

Unfortunately, my first wingman got shot down. :-(

257.01 CS for a run of 720030 seconds. Now that's a dogfight! :-D

I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my S5R2's validated immediately because I had run it at 100% and it took 26 hours. Then I see my wingman was Bruce Allen, so I seemed to have been in very good company! :)

Just curious, but how did your points per hour compare with the R1s. I'm not running any K6's right now but am running 4 Athlon Thunderbirds in the the 1.1 to 1.4 range and runs the 3D Now! similar to your K-6. I still have the time to finish up some R1s in time so I don't have any R2 results to compare to yet with these chips. However, every one of the R2s I've completed with the 64 bit XP Athlon chips have been down in points/hr. between 20 and 35% compared to the R1s.:(

My results agree with yours, down about 25-30% or so (but I just realized your question was not really directed at me, I have an AMD 3500+).

No Problem. My Athlon 64 EP 3300+ is the one that is giving me the significantly lower points/time ratio. I have 4 Athlons (Thunderbirds)ranging in clockspeeds from 1.1 to 1.4 and the points/time is down on them as well but by not nearly the amount as with the 64bit 3300+. I may have to run Rosetta on it. Thanks for the info.

It's looking like the K6-x's are getting about twice the rate they averaged on S5R1/I. The second -2 reported yesterday and the rate was the same as the first one. The first -1 should finish tomorrow, and the second is still showing by calculation it can't make the deadline, but I wasn't sure the first could either until about 2/3's of the way into the run.

The Intels should be returning their first ones soon, but I don't expect them to be different than what we've been seeing except for maybe the PIII.

Interesting. Twice the rate with AMD chips running 3D Now! and a 30% hit on the 64 XPs. That's enough to make a person want to switch.:)

I just got the v4.17 download

I just got the v4.17 download and some new, long WU's. I was wondering how accurate the initial "To completion" estimates might be. (So far, one WU has processed for about an hour and its estimate appears to be in-line with the "Progess" percentage - but, only being about 2% done, it could turn out to be way off.) That said, it seems that "Report deadlines" for these units may need to be lengthened a little. My "58 hour" unit has a 2 week deadline and if that holds true, I am sure to go into EDF mode before it's over.

The same here: 58 hours estimated time to completion, 2 weeks deadline and a computer which runs an average of 2 hours a day. No chance to finish in time!

The beta test page doesn't run at moment.

Meaning what exactly? Is it that nothing is being run for R2, or that for whatever reason that a test project cannot be uploaded to there?

I'm somewhat confused, considering there is a FreeBSD S5R1 test app there right now...and I can download the tar.gz file just fine...and view its' contents with WinRAR just fine as well...

The FreeBSD SR51 app crunches "production" units for SR51. There is currently no FreeBSD SR52 app :(
