I am a Bachelor of Science (in physics). I am not a very good programmer, but I would like to do a new BOINC-project for my thesis. There is a program called AIRES (http://www.fisica.unlp.edu.ar/auger/aires/, http://www.fisica.unlp.edu.ar/auger/aires/eg_AiresDownload.html) that simulates cosmic ray air showers. How can I make AIRES BOINC-compatible?

PS. I am not a Linux expert.

A good starting point is the BOINC homepage.

There is a PDF about how to create a BOINC project from scratch.

You may want to subscribe to the dev mailing list.

And there is a BOINC message board.

Sample BOINC programs (incl. the SETI@home application) are available too, see here.

But I suspect you will have to become a linux expert though.

Forgot to mention, there is a

Forgot to mention, there is a way to reuse existing applications, see "legacy applications"

And if you have your BOINC project running, don't forget to announce it here :)
