Conan - did you manage to get the name of the rogue process?

sorry but it did not have a name and I forgot to write down the file location as I though it would stay in the list to be ticked again if I needed to start it again if the computer played up.
It was actually in the "Startup" section of the "System Configuration Utility" and had nothing under the "Startup Item" column, was also blank under the "Command" column and I think it started with HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft in the "Location" column.
As it has gone and my computer is now benchmarking back to normal (yes it also affected the bench mark) with my output back up from less than 500 to 6-700 I am happy and the machine has not missed a beat since.
