I keep getting this error message, followed shortly after by 'no work from project'. I'm not sure what this is, or why I'm missing it. I'm running BOINC 4.19.

Andrew,
something is badly wrong with the way that BOINC is behaving on your machine. (The machine has registered itself more than a hundred times!) I suggest that you stop BOINC and uninstall it entirely, then start over. I'm not sure how it got itself into this state, but it's definitely not working the way it's supposed to.
If it's possible, you might try to delete the entire C:Program Files\BOINC\ directory and all of its contents, after you have uninstalled. This shouldn't be necessary but would ensure that you are really starting from the beginning.

Was there a good reason why we have to type double \\ (C:\\Program Files\\BOINC) on the revised BOINC boards? It didn't use to do this. Where is Janus? Lost track of how many different set of rules for all the different Internet boards.

Andrew,
Or for a quicker solution that 'might' work, try detaching then reattaching to the project. Look in the project tab, highlight Einstein, then right-click to see the options. You'll find 'detach' as one of the items. 'reattach' is under the settings menu.

I uninstalled and reinstalled BOINC, and now everything seems to be working fine. Thank you very much for your help.

But for the 141 accounts it made in the mean time. Unless you have a farm. ;)
