What if the Big Bang was an accident, trapping us as physical entities, bound to the fabric of the time-space continuum for billions of light years?

OK, it's just a scifi fantasy which I created as a movie script, but it could have happened :-}}

Maybe that's why there IS NO UNIFIED THEORY in the visible cosmos, the cosmos is an accident, caused by the Big Bang, which caused a local fracture in the infinite unity!

What if the infinite universe is an extant, self-aware, omniscient, timeless reality. There was no omnipotent creator, because there was no creation of ANYTHING.

It always was the way it is now: A unified, knowledge base of what's happening RIGHT NOW, an infinitely diverse set of experiential cosmic events, which happen in real time, or rather, in NO time?

What accident is there you can think of, that doesn't have a cause, a reason, an inevitability? Or do you mean more like "oops, I let the quantum fluctuation out again"? :) or maybe, "no, really, it was a barking spider..."? :))

But as you don't need to know maths for one thing plus another thing to equal two things, neither do you need a theory for the cosmos to be visible. I think there are several 'unified' theories presently, but there are questions as to which one(s) is/are correct/equivalent... Lots of people looking forward to new data from the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) that may answer these questions.

Kind of a new take on '... the answers, my friend, are blowin in the wind...' either way, isn't it? :)

Are you saying, 'the more things change, the more they stay the same'? Sounds like a principle of conservation in there somewhere... :)

by accident i mean we were already there in the Q Continuum and some fool hit us in our immortality area, making us appear to be mortal idiots, with no apparent control over our autonomous omniscience [there is no omnipotence]

if there was omnipotence, who would own it? a democratic Q Continuum?

if i am actually free in my soul or spirit, whatever that is, then i can imagine that some omnipotent creator made my soul/spirit and actually live that way...dependent on some outside entity for my existence and morality etc.

the Q guy who ended his immortality, for example, was expressing such a wish, to give an outside power ability to end one's existence...but if he had that power to destroy himself, wouldn't he be able to undestroy himself at any time?

yes of course, and several unified or ununified theories MUST exist in each membrane, if they are there, certainly ours is there, at least we think it is, and if we were meant to be ignorant of all these theories etc. then we would probably not be making such progress as LHC, and who knows, maybe Fermi LIVES, and i may be his intellectual alterego or apprentice or ??? :-}}

yuck, i feel really smarmy just thinking about Peter, Paul and Mary...

what i was thinking originally was we already had the omniscience to understand that the universe never repeats itself, now, we just seem to obsess with one or two of the infinite aspects of existence :-}} maybe because we are stuck at c, and the universe just keeps going with an infinite set of nonrepeatable events?

May I ask you to define the term "accident", the noun has many senses and I'd like to know exactly what do you mean when you use it.

As you use the adverb "always", which means that "time" is involved somehow.
But "time" is really one dimention, no more, no less. We experience 3 spatial dimentions and 1 time dimention but nothing in the maths obliges our present universe (which in that case is "accidental") to be the only one possible. Things may have been different. I agree, a different set of initial conditions may not allow for human beings to ask questions about the universe but that's an entirely different story.

This Q continuum you are postulating is outside our present universe. Sadly, it means that science cannot and may not (in today's state of understanding) tackle with that question.
Only theology, philosophy and Sci-fi may try to fiddle with such matters.
Unfortunately, those disciplines lack some features I personaly cherish:
- The Okham's razor
- The falsificability
- The internal coherence.

hi RenaudKener, thanks for

Message 48500 in response to message 48499

hi RenaudKener, thanks for your messages!

i need time to think and look at your messages, however, on my first thought:

i have always wondered about the simplest explanation being so great :-}}
if the universe wanted be be so simple, maybe it would not have any big bangs!
it would be shrinking instead of expanding...how complicated did the visible cosmos become in an instant at the big bang? and now how much more complicated after billions of light years...

i think simplicity is ok for the human brain to shorten its thinking process by using some left brain logic as short hand, or some wonderful math equation to represent an infinitely complicated reality, or to try to slow down the brain's obsessive rambling nonsense in the right brain, however the universe seems to have maximized a melange of misinformation perhaps to baffle the human brain?

i think there is a great difference between our organic brain, and our infinite
mind, roughly speaking the difference between hardware and software...but much
more than that functional analogy, we seem to have an infinite mind, but a very
finite and vulnerable brain...another joke by the universe? maybe Alan Watts was right, we are the whole universe at once, we cannot separate the tiniest particle of ourselves from it at all...

OK RK, about your question:

Message 48501 in response to message 48499

OK RK,
about your question: if i was referring to time in the broader sense, meaning outside of the visible cosmos, if there is anything outside of the cosmos :)

NO NO NO there is no such thing as time possible from the point of view of an infinite universe...suppose i AM the infinite universe, i AM EVERYWHERE...

time means nothing to me, as the infinite universe, i have no relativity outside my infinite self, i already relate to every particle of myself...

place means nothing, i AM everywhere at once...dimensions are meaningless, within what boundary do i exist as the infinite universe?

but my current thought is infinite as well...if i have that infinite thought in my silly little human brain right now...where does my mind begin or end?

"Salary Theorem" states that "Engineers and Scientists can never earn as much as Business Executives and Sales People."

This theorem can now be supported by a mathematical equation based on the following two postulates:

1. Knowledge is Power.
2. Time is Money.

As every engineer knows:
Power = Work / Time

Since:
Knowledge = Power
Time = Money

It follows that:
Knowledge = Work/Money.

Solving for Money, we get:
Money = Work / Knowledge.

Thus, as Knowledge approaches zero, Money approaches infinity, regardless of the amount of work done.

Conclusion:
The less you know,the more you make.

Heisenberg was driving his

Heisenberg was driving his car on the autobahn...a traffic policeman stopped him and said: 'Do you know how fast you were going?' Heisenberg said: 'No, but I know where I am.'

my advice is: NEVER TAKE MY ADVICE

if i understood what i know, i would be a genius...
if you understood what i know, i would be a guru...
if everyone understood what i know, i would be a god...
since no one understands it, i am just a confused old man...

a scientist learns how to hear the thoughts of mice with a device, which he places on the most intelligent mouse in the lab...he sets the mouse free...but the neighborhood is filled with cats...the mouse goes into the forest and hides in a hole in the ground for several days...so the scientist only hears: 'i'm hungry, i'm hungry'

finally the mouse hears a dog barking, the mouse thinks: 'dogs don't eat mice, and they chase away cats, so it must be safe to go out' the mouse goes out of the tunnel, and a cat eats him...

the cat says: 'its always good to speak two different languages'

note: the feline fluency is in Bark and Meow, ancient Egyptian languages
