You only have one computer running. You can't expect to go up in the ratings with ONE computer.
That's not the project's fault.

Buy a PC with Dual Core processor and your statistic will fly into the sky. :-)

There are many of us using more than one computer. There are many with the newest, greatest fast computers. With a single machine as yourself, a lot of people are passing you with ease.
This is not a competition of any sorts. It is a project to help science. The point system is there so it gives people the sense of accomplishment. You are doing your best with what you have, and that is great. Yes, some people take the point systems into competition, and that is healthy in a way, but we need to remember we are working on a science application to better our knowledge of the universes out there.
I hope you do not become discouraged. This is a great project, and lots of nice people here to help you along the way.

I hope you don't get discouraged by this. I think what is happening here is that alot of users are returning back to Boinc and firing up thier machines:
So, in the past 6 days (September 4th - 9th) the number of active hosts increased from about 373,000 to over 472,000 hosts. And if my guess is correct, these are students returning to school with newer and more powerful pc's.
Anyway, I think it will be a few days before this trend stabilizes, and you should see your rank going back up again.
Cheers.

Acutually, I think it has more to do with the re-working of credit/trickle distribution on the climate projects than anything else.
Although it was looking like the downward trend in user and host participation had leveled off for the most part before the big spikes a couple of days ago.

Please don't -- your machine is making a genuine contribution to Einstein@Home.

Your guess is incorrect. This "increase" is an artificial one siche climateprediction and BBC CPDN decided to retroactively grant more credits per trickle thus "activiting" all of their already inactive hosts. Bottom line: this is not the true number and after 30 days you will see a similar drop.
