The submit button to apply changes in the preferences leads to an empty page, the problem occurs here and on SIMAP, but not at SETI. Both project and global preferences are affected.
Tested with Firefox 1.5.0.6 and IE 6.0 SP1
p.s.: the problem seems to be solved at Berkeley, at SETI Beta (which has the alternative prefs view too already) updating the preferences does work.

As for the backend, each project does it at their own pace. BOINC is also the forums, settings, etc. So when they come out with something new, it gets tested over at SETI sites, the passed on to the other sites. They then apply the patches as they have time.
So if it is a recent patching, Einstein and others may not have had time to do it, or even have been notified of the updates, yet.
It'll all get fixed, eventually.

Just to drop a line, that I experience this bug as well. Here at einstein as well as Rosetta. It is a bit silly, because I cannot change the cycle load. Please Einstein team, install the patch, update Boinc or whatever is necessary to have it running correctly once again. Thanks alot in advance.
Cheers
