I've recently joined the project with my Windows box at home, and I would like to add my Linux box at school. I tried following the instructions on the download page, but they seemed to be outdated, or I just screwed something up. I tried installing it in the "personal" manner, but I don't think it worked correctly.

Is there any chance that the "auto installer" is being written for Linux any time soon, as promised in the instructions?

In the mean time, is there a way to remove a computer from your account once you've established it? (I'd like to remove every part of boinc that was on my Linux machine and start fresh.)

As far as getting rid of what I (most probably incorrectly) have put on my Linux machine, is there anything more I need to do besides removing all the boinc files I can find, wherever I put them?

(For fear of screwing more stuff up, when replying, please assume I know nothing more about Linux than how to "ls," "cd," and "su." I have root access, and am using bash.)

A confused newbie Linux usr,
Jeff

This one is fairly accurate. Besides it looks like you managed to setup BOINC correctly, attached to E@H and got work.

You must wait until all WUs assigned to this host are gone, then you can delete it via the Your Account page.

There should only be one BOINC directory somewhere. Most likely in your home directory.
