i've noticed talks in forums that some optimizations for S5 have been thrown away as faulty. do we have any stable optimization now that the original einstein science group approved as stable and OKed to use ?
For me science is primary and competition is secondary but i still want to do more science in less time with less energy used by my PCs
So if there are approved optimizations which one could i use for my Celeron 1.7Ghz ?

Is there any optimized einstein app APPROVED for S5 workunits
)
not at the moment, no....
We all hope it will happen soon, because the 0712 test versions for example are very stable and fast and NORMALY there is no reason, not to use them but..... yeah... hm... we are not allowed :/
the current S5R1 official app
)
the current S5R1 official app is optimized a good bit.........so technically we're using an optimezed app by akos and the rest........but no, there are not currently any other secondary apps to use at the moment.
the app is faster than the old albert one, but the units take longer because they are alot bigger.....we're doing more science faster/work unit.
Well, I don't care what you
)
Well, I don't care what you say, I'm using the patched app
and have not had any problems with faulty WUs at all, not even one !
But the credit is still down 28-30% even with this version, but
I suppose it's better than the 50% less than the official version
also I don't care if you say that the official version is optimized in it self.
With a 50% drop in RAC it just can't be optimized ... enough...

Crystallize
When the scientist only want the output from the offical app. for now you are just spinning your wheels with the patched app.
Try the Pizza@Home project, good crunching.
You also run the risk of them
)
You also run the risk of them zeroing out all your credits, because they believe the science is not good enough. So you want to run a chance to lose all those credits?
Other question, why the WUs
)
Other question, why the WUs must actually be so large?
Does it give a conclusive reason there??
I do not like such large WUs!
Athlon
Stay tuned and keep crunching

Your parents sure failed to raise you properly. Once again you show how despicable you really are.

Hey while you're at it, go fill your car up with that really high octane gas, you know that stuff that only high-end sports cars can use efficiently and costs way too much. Done...? Good, now put that gas-guzzler up on jacks, find a nice brick to put on top of your gas pedal, turn on the engine and walk away. Don't forget to fill as needed.
Oh yeah, every scientist you ever meet deserves a punch in the head because they obviously have no clue what they're talking about.
P.S. Try replacing the brick with your foot so you can see just how pointless what you're doing really is. And don't forget to brag about how fast you got your car running on those stilts.
There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman

Your app may work perfectly however it's not authorized/recognized by the science team. Hence your workunits will be discarded and resent out. So while you may be building your credit faster you are slowing down the science.

You can do what you like with your machine, but not with someone else's database. As a matter of common decency, you should not submit results that are not acceptable to the project team. If you don't like it, go and help another project for a while, and come back when the official app has been optimised further.
