I'm getting this sequence over and over:

--- - 2005-02-20 21:29:29 - Insufficient work; requesting more
SETI@home - 2005-02-20 21:29:29 - Requesting 16842 seconds of work
SETI@home - 2005-02-20 21:29:29 - Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
SETI@home - 2005-02-20 21:29:46 - Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi failed
SETI@home - 2005-02-20 21:29:46 - No schedulers responded
SETI@home - 2005-02-20 21:29:46 - Deferring communication with project for 13 minutes and 58 seconds

I'm a new user. Am I doing anything wrong? The servers seem to be up.

Christopher, The Seti

Christopher,

The Seti Servers have been up/down now for 4 days, and that's why people running seti are having connection issues. THe message your getting means that your not able to connect to the schedulers. This is probably the fault of the Scheduler at Einstein. With all the new people signing on the servers are probably overloaded with requests. in another thread Bruce Allen (project administrator) admitted that the heavy volume was taxing their equipment.

I recommend patience.
